Starting in our home territory of Nassau County on Long Island, we’re creating new opportunities for local businesses to thrive in the competitive online shopping world, just in time for the busiest shopping season of the year!
A New Way to Shop Local
The Trellus Marketplace is designed to help Long Island small businesses tap into the power of direct-to-consumer sales. With Marketplace, merchants can set up their storefronts, in preparation to sell directly to customers online, giving them the ability to reach a wider audience.
STARTING NOW, we’re thrilled to give merchants in Nassau County the first chance to create their Marketplace Storefront for free, with no contracts or commitments. Whether you’re a retailer or home-based business, this new platform will enable you to showcase your products and services, all while maintaining the local charm that customers love.
Rebranding for E-commerce Shopping
In conjunction with the Marketplace launch, we’re proud to unveil a major rebranding of our website, bytrellus.com. This rebrand reflects our commitment to bringing the Shop Local message to e-commerce audiences and emphasizes the unique value that Long Island small businesses offer.
Our new tagline, Real Local Businesses. Really Great Finds., speaks directly to the essence of our mission: to showcase the diverse, high-quality offerings from Long Island’s local business community, all while offering customers the convenience of online shopping.
Customers who sign up for updates will be the first to know when the full Shop Local Marketplace is ready. This early access will allow them to explore an exciting array of local products, perfect for the upcoming holiday shopping season.
Updated Features for Merchants
For our Nassau County merchants, setting up a Marketplace Storefront is easy and free! Even better, we’ve revamped our Delivery HUB Dashboard, enhancing the merchant experience with a streamlined interface that allows for smoother navigation and a better overview of daily operations.
If you’re not yet a Trellus Merchant partner, this is the perfect time to join our network! We’ve simplified our pricing to $6.99 per delivery, making it easier for businesses to offer affordable and convenient local delivery alongside their e-commerce sales.
Expanding Marketplace to Suffolk and Westchester
While Nassau County merchants can start building their storefronts today, Suffolk and Westchester merchants are next! We’re working hard to expand the Marketplace, and soon, all local merchants in our service areas will have the chance to build storefronts. Be sure to sign up for updates in your area so that you can be the first to know when the Marketplace becomes available to you.
In the meantime, all merchants—regardless of location—can explore the newly updated Delivery HUB Dashboard, which is live now. This enhancement is just one of the ways we are constantly improving our services to better support Long Island small businesses.
