We started growing olive trees at our ranch in Petaluma, CA in 2009. The trees are traditional Tuscan varietals; Frantoio, Moraiolo, Leccino, and Pendolino. Grown in sandy loam, the mild climate in Petaluma is ideal. The trees have come a long way producing 8 pounds at first, but we are now up to about 2700 pounds a year. The olives are hand-picked and custom milled with a soft press to avoid the bitterness from the pits.
