In September 2023, Suffolk County announced the JumpSMART Small Business Downtown Investment Program “to provide funding to support downtown growth and to help local businesses and institutions to remain economically competitive.” Working in partnership with Trellus Same-Day Local Delivery and citing economic studies, the LIAACC identified the need for minority-owned businesses to offer competitive last-mile logistics services. LIAACC’s application was successful and the Chamber was awarded $125,000 for distribution to eligible members.

Once approved, qualifying small businesses will receive a $2500 credit on their Trellus account. The $2500 credit will be used for Trellus’ monthly Business subscription ($49.99/month) and deliveries placed until the funds are exhausted.
