Watch the Replay of the Locally Delivered Webinar
On Wednesday Jan. 26, 2022, Trellus hosted our first-ever Locally Delivered webinar. The Zoom discussion was organized to educate prospective and current Trellus merchant partners about the benefits of offering same-day delivery as they aim to compete against big-box retailers and e-commerce giants.
The discussion began with an introduction from host and Customer Success Director Steve Blau, joined by the Co-Founders of Trellus who each focus on unique areas of the business: CEO Adam Haber, Sales and Business Development; CTO JR Jensen, Creative and Technology; and COO Brian Berkery, Operations and Marketing.
The presentation kicked off with a reminder of Trellus’ core mission: to help small businesses compete with e-commerce giants by providing fast and reliable on-demand local delivery services. Trellus understands that individually owned small businesses create a vibrant community, and our promise is to support these businesses by keeping jobs, sales, and services local. The presentation also included an update on Trellus’ progress to date, including the fact that our platform has grown to more than 165 merchant partners on Long Island, spanning more than 40 categories. In the past six months, we’ve successfully completed 10,000 deliveries.
The Locally Delivered webinar also took on industry statistics in the “State of the Industry” portion. The latest research indicates that more customers expect same-day delivery and delivery windows are shrinking as more big retailers invest in the logistics. With hyperlocal delivery on the rise, smaller businesses that offer in-store fulfillment have an advantage in providing a personalized end-to-end customer experience. However to truly sustain a same-day delivery offering, these retailers need real-time visibility and tracking of delivery orders, which has proven to be a pain point.
Trellus was joined by small businesses across Long Island who contributed questions in a lively Q&A session to close out the webinar.
