In one of their first media appearances together, Trellus Co-founders Adam Haber, JR Jensen, and Brian Berkery were interviewed by Long Island Main Street News, a Vision Long Island production. The discussion was moderated by Eric Alexander, Director of Vision Long Island and founder of LI Main Street Alliance.
Vision Long Island shared the video on Facebook with the following caption:
“We were back with another edition of the Long Island Main Street News interviews. This one connected us to the partners of a new company called Trellus, Adam Haber, JR Jensen, and Brian Berkery.
This new company can help downtown businesses by creating a [same-day delivery] platform that can get local products to customers the same day. They are starting up in Nassau County and parts of Western Suffolk and surely worth exploring to help our businesses compete with Amazon and others.
Pleasure to have a new technology platform in the corner of brick-and-mortar stores out here. Check it out…”

According to their website, the mission of Vision Long Island is as follows:
“Vision joins with others to promote more livable, economically sustainable and environmentally responsible growth on Long Island through Smart Growth. Smart Growth focuses on infill redevelopment and open space preservation. It supports mixed-used, mixed income communities that are convenient, attractive, pedestrian-friendly and make affordable housing and public transportation desirable and realistic. A key objective is to strength communities from the start by actively involving local stakeholders in planning.
Over the past 20 years, Vision has counseled downtown Villages and Towns, and has been a resource for the County, State, and Federal governments, as well as the business and civic community, on downtown revitalization planning and infrastructure. Vision has made over 2,500 presentations, performed over 25 community visionings and advanced over 125 public and private planning projects towards implementing the goals of Smart Growth on Long Island.”
