News 12 Long Island featured LocaLI Bred curated by Trellus in a segment about last-minute Valentine’s Day gifts made locally. The segment was co-hosted by News 12’s Angela Cascarano and Erin Colton.
“This is amazing,” said Colton, adding that she receives the LocaLI Bred seasonal subscription box. “I mean every single thing in here is local goods. It gets sent right to your door. Especially for people who live away now and not on the Island. It’s a great gift.”
LocaLI Bred began in 2018 on Long Island and was acquired by Trellus Same-Day Local Delivery & Marketplace in February 2023. The Valentine’s Day Gift Box was the first-ever “LocaLI Bred curated by Trellus” gift box and featured locally made chocolates, sweets, and coffee from six Long Island merchants that currently use Trellus for delivery.

Calling out the fact that LocaLI Bred is now curated and delivered by Trellus, Cascarano added, “[Trellus does] same-day delivery from small business to customer, so if you need something today, not only from this box, but other items like toys or a florist, you could order by 3 p.m. and you [will] actually get your delivery today.”
