2020 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2020 Vintage is our inaugural release for our 2020 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. It is sourced from the low benchland against the Mayacamas Mountains and shows the sun kissed notes of the vintage. Loads of Blackberries, Currants, Fig and Black Cherries are immediately present with secondary notes of tar, black shoe polish, graphite, cedar, and a dusty, loamy note that is subtle and brings a slight savory note to the gobs of black fruits. This Cabernet is elegant and subtle with juicy fresh berries and a medium bodied tannin profile that is fruit centered and delicious. This wine is more elegant and a reflection of the vintage, 2020, which showed lower color and medium tannins compared to other more recent vintages. This is a wonderfully complex Cabernet Sauvignon from Alexander Valley. Pair this wine with cheeses like aged cheddar, Gorgonzola or a rich triple cream brie. Grilled Lamb and hamburgers are a must, or braised short ribs. Decant it for a few hours prior to trying for maximum enjoyment. 750 mL Bottle Maker Name: Matt Michael
