Urfa Pepper

Urfa is a smoky, sun dried pepper with earthy, raisin notes and a mild slow building heat. The sweet, slightly spicy flavor of this pepper makes it a unique ingredient that takes dishes to the next level. Urfa Biber is a dried chile pepper from Turkey. It is sun dried during the day and wrapped tightly at night to infuse the pepper with moisture and flavor. Use as a rub for grilling meats or veggies, in fruity desserts or even as a baking ingredient. Delicious in chocolate cake, sprinkled over sautéed chickpeas and in sweet and savory fruit compotes. We love to stir a little into cool, fresh tzatziki sauce.
