Episode description from UpFlip:
Adam Haber started Trellus Same-Day Local Delivery & Marketplace to help small business owners compete with Amazon and other big box stores. In less than two years, his startup business has completed more than 35,000 deliveries from its nearly 300 merchant partners. Today, he’s sharing his advice on how to start a delivery business with this kind of fast growth potential.
Adam is passionate about serving his community. Before starting Trellus, he served as a Roslyn School Board Trustee and the head of Economic Development for the Town of Hempstead. Trellus was born from this same passion, aiming to bring more business back to downtowns and independent local shops by making it easier for customers to buy their products.
Trellus’ exceptional customer service is a key to its success. All of their deliveries are made on the same day, with 90% completed in less than two hours. We’ll hear how Adam designed the systems that allow this to happen, along with how he marketed his service to both businesses and customers to reach 600 to 1,200 weekly deliveries so soon after launching. If you’ve ever wondered how to start up a new business, you’ll find answers to lots of your questions in this episode.
