Trellus Co-Founder and CEO recently Adam Haber appeared on “The Jay Davis Show” podcast for an insightful conversation about entrepreneurship.
Adam and Jay found common ground in their love of start-ups and their natural curiosity for learning how businesses work. They explored Adam’s “unconventional journey” to starting Trellus, a same-day delivery service designed for the needs of small businesses
An entrepreneur and investor, Jay is the founder of the innovative Pillow Cube and video marketing agency Creatably. Most recently, he launched a premium ice cream brand, Cold Case Ice Cream, complete with home delivery.
The pair reflected on start-ups they’ve been involved with and how some have struggled with adaptability. It’s a message Adam often shares with small business owners.
“You really just want to find a problem and solve it,” Adam told Jay. “And what ends up happening — you can tell this to any entrepreneur who’s listening — is your original model is not gonna be the model you end up going to market with. It’s gonna morph or change, or you’ll find some way to do it slightly better. You have to be flexible or you’re gonna go out of business. And you have to pivot. In every business I’ve ever been part of, that’s been part of what we’ve done.”
