Watch the Replay of Our Locally Delivered Webinar, Episode 2: Amplifying Your E-Commerce Business
On Wednesday, June 22, 2022, Trellus hosted our second Locally Delivered webinar, entitled “Episode 2: Amplifying Your E-Commerce Business.” The Zoom discussion was co-hosted by Trellus Customer Success Director Steve Blau and CTO/Co-founder JR Jensen.
In this episode, Steve and JR brought the audience through three key topics:
Why Same-Day Delivery?
Steve kicked things off with the facts behind same-day delivery and why it’s the future of e-commerce. He highlighted a key finding from the 2022 Bringg Barometer: State of Retail Delivery & Fulfillment: “An incredible 99% of respondents say they will be doing same-day delivery within the next three years, compared to 35% able to do so today.”
This finding corresponds to other research showing increasing consumer preference for receiving purchases more quickly and efficiently.
What Trellus Does
Building off the research premise, JR gave an overview of Trellus and our mission of serving small businesses to help them compete with e-commerce giants and effectively meet customers where they are today, shopping online from home. JR highlighted that Trellus recently surpassed 250 merchants on our Same-Day Delivery platform, and we’ve completed 15,000-plus successful deliveries to date.
Steve and JR also took a closer look at Trellus Batch Deliveries and Route Optimization features, designed to help small businesses save time and money. They discussed how Trellus’ e-commerce integrations make it easy for small businesses to transact through their existing website while placing the order for Same-Day Delivery by Trellus.
How to Promote Same-Day Delivery
To bring these themes together with real-life examples, Trellus Marketing Director Colleen Bellise appeared on a brief video, offering practical tips on promoting e-commerce offerings like same-day delivery. Trellus offers branded print promotional materials and digital marketing assets to help merchants get the word out to busy customers.
“We know everyone wants foot traffic in their store, but we also know that customers prefer the comfort of their home, especially after a long day and with family responsibilities,” Colleen said. “While some customers will want to pick up the order themselves, there are plenty of customers who are willing to pay for the convenience of having the order delivered to them.”
Episode 2 “Amplifying Your E-commerce Business” was recorded at Floored Media, a local small business and production studio in Rockville Centre, NY. Check out the presentation, and drop us a line on social media (@bytrellus) to let us know what you think!
